সংবাদ মাধ্যম জানাচ্ছে , যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রী হিলারী ক্লিনটন বাংলাদেশে এসেছিলেন নিরাপত্তা , সন্ত্রাসবাদ দমন ও বিনিয়োগ - বাণিজ্য নিয়ে কথা বলতে। সংবাদপত্র , টিভি টকশো , বিবরণী , ‘ আড্ডা ’ সর্বত্র এটাকে বাংলাদেশের জন্য ‘ বিরাট সুযোগ ’ ‘ বিরাট সম্ভাবনা ’ হিসাবেই দেখানো হয়েছে। হিলারী ক্লিনটনের সফরের আসল বৃত্তান্ত নিয়ে কমই জানা যাবে। বোঝার জন্য কোন সুযোগও রাখা হয়নি। সরকার , প্রধান বিরোধী দল , মিডিয়া , সুশীল সমাজ সর্বত্র এত মুগ্ধতা , গদগদভাব আর সম্মতি ছিল যে কোথাও কোন ভিন্নমত , যথাযথ তথ্য উপস্থাপন কিংবা প্রশ্নেরও সুযোগ ছিল না। মাঝে মধ্যে মনে হয় , আমাদের

শিক্ষকের মৃত্যু
১৬ মে ২০১২ শিক্ষকদের বেঁচে থাকার অধিকার নিয়ে দাবি জানাতে গেলে জামালপুরের চর বাটিয়ানি রেজিস্টার্ড বেসামরিক প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক আজিজুর রহমান পুলিশী হামলায় আহত হন। তাঁকে প্রথমে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়, পরে রাতে বাড়ি নেওয়ার পথে তিনি মারা যান। ১৯৭১ সালে এই দেশ স্বাধীন করতে তিনি মুক্তিযুদ্ধ করেছিলেন!
